The David Perlman Memorial Lecture

Background

David Perlman (1920 – 1980) was a founding member of the ACS Division of Microbial and Biochemical Technology and 1966 division chair. He worked for Hoffman-LaRoche, Merck, and Squibb with initial research in streptomycin fermentation. He was later a Professor of Pharmaceutical Biochemistry and Dean of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin. The David Perlman Memorial Lectureship honors the many contributions of the late Professor Perlman and is sponsored by Bristol Myers Squibb.
