    Wed, October 2, 2024 | 12 – 1 PM EST

    Three leaders in the biopharma industry – Amalie Levy, Bryan Zee & Grace Price – shared their experiences transitioning from school to the workforce and answered audience questions live. The event was an engaging and informal discussion about starting in biopharma and how to be successful as you start in your career journey.

    Thurs, August 22, 2024 | 2 – 5 PM | Upper Merion, PA

    This event took place at the GSK site in Upper Merion, PA and provided an opportunity for students to learn more about what it’s like to work in biopharmaceutical process development. The day started with a technical overview of the biopharmaceutical development process, followed by tours of upstream and downstream bioprocessing labs, and ended with a speed-dating event where students got time to chat in small groups with GSK scientists from many different backgrounds. The event was followed by a happy hour at a local brewery.

    Wed, April 3, 2024 | 12 – 1 PM EST

    This webinar covered topics including machine learning and generative biology in drug discovery and lab automation processes. There were three overview presentations by scientists from Generate: Biomedicines and Aera Therapeutics discussing applications of AI in biopharma. The audience had the chance to ask questions in an extended panel-style Q&A session afterwards.

    Three speakers gave a panel discussion on their career journeys and involvement in the clinical trial space:
    – Payal Leibiger, Supply Chain Lead at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)
    – Victoria Diab, Clinical Scientist at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS)
    – Emily Malseed, Director of Early Development Clinical Operations at Amgen

    Thurs, December 7, 2023 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM | University of Delaware

    Local industry professionals from companies in the Greater Philadelphia area – including Janssen, Merck, GSK, and Spark Therapeutics – joined us at UD to present on different career areas within biopharma, including Upstream Bioprocessing/Cell Culture, Downstream Bioprocessing/Purification, Analytics, Manufacturing, and Startups/Small Companies. This was followed by an open mixer where students networked with the industry attendees.
